Creating Send
Master_Detail Events:
This is used when Customer wants to see the details of
Summary report side by side.
Prerequisites:
- Specify Channel should be unique.
- Should give that unique name in Properties of the detail event.
- prompt is mandatory whatever view you are using.(i.e. graph or table or pie etc..)
Steps:
This Example is when
Customer click on particular portion of Pie Chart, The details of that portion
should be shown side of that report.
1. Create Report with
different Views (table,Graph,Pie etc..)
2. Click on “Column
Properties “ of the column in the Criteria
and click on “ Interaction” tab
Under the “value “
Select Primary Interaction
as “Send Master-Detail Events”
Give Specify Channel
“ A unique Name” and ok
3. Go to “Result “tab & Edit Table View
Click on table properties
4. Check the “”Listen to Master-Detail Events
And in the “Event Channel “Give the Unique name give at step 2.
5. Give the Table Prompt (Drag the column in the “Table
Prompts”)
Giving prompt is mandatory whatever view you are using.
(I.e. graph or table or pie etc..)
6. Now run the report and click on pie chart, the details of
that report will be shown in tabular format.
